Description：This fabulous antique Victorian Silver Paste brooch is from 19thC. Star brooches became popular during the late 19th Century as an interest in astronomy grew. Stars symbolise guidance and are seen to lead you in the direction you are meant to go. These brooches were usually produced in sets of five in varying sizes, that's why there's a screw hole on the back.
